Some New Pictures
As I promised last night, here are some pictures from the new house. So far I just have pictures of the kids' rooms, and they're not even quite finished yet. But their wall borders are up, and their furniture is in their rooms, so you can at least get an idea of what they look like.
Here's a photo of the boy's room once we got the border up and his furniture in his room. I talked the other day about how much trouble we had with the prepasted borders we got for his room. We ended up ripping the majority of that down. Yeah, we could have gotten some glue for it, and P could actually probably have made some for it. But at that point, we were fed up with it. So we found a really nice self-adhesive Nascar border that looks really nice with his furniture and his wall color. And it took us all of 15 minutes to put that thing up on the wall, where after about an hour and a half the darn prepasted ones were falling off the walls.
Here's the part of the American Chopper border we were able to keep up in his room. He was so disappointed at the thought of not being able to have American Chopper in his room at all, so he was pretty happy that we were able to leave this up for him. Then he told me, "Mommy, I really wanted to be able to have the 'Black Widow' chopper on my wall." We saved part of the border that we had left, and the hubby has something planned for him. I'm not sure what it is, but if I know the hubby, it will be something that the boy will just love. It's killing J, wanting to know what it is, but he's just going to have to sweat it for a bit until we get the other house empty and clean.
Here's a picture of the princess's room after we got the border up and her furniture moved in. She absolutely LOVES her room. She was just tickled when she came in and saw it.
Her room from another angle. She got this cute Disney Princess vanity for Christmas, along with a matching wall shelf with pegs to hang things on. So as you can see, the colors and border that she chose for her room matches her theme perfectly. Her bedding is Bratz, which she chose when we first moved here, but the colors still match, even though the characters are different.
I have more to write about, but again, I'll have to put it off till tomorrow. I have to catch up on some school work and get to bed before it gets too late. The new house is shaping up quite nicely and is already starting to feel like home. A very messy home right now, but home nonetheless.
