Almost Finished!

I talked to our mortgage specialist this afternoon. She called to give me the final, official amount that we needed to bring to closing tomorrow morning. It was almost 3:30 when she called me this afternoon, because she was waiting to hear from the attorneys, so I was getting pretty nervous. After all, I needed to go to the bank and get the cashiers check this afternoon. Our appointment is at 9:30 tomorrow morning, and I didn't want to have to deal with morning traffic in Fayetteville to try to get to the bank and then wherever we're supposed to meet on time.

The good news (GREAT news) is that our actual closing costs are well under what I was preparing myself to pay based on our Good Faith Estimate that we got from Wells Fargo when we first applied for the mortgage. I'm talking like $500 less. I've been setting the money aside for the past month in our account at the local credit union since we don't spend money out of that account very often. I knew if I left it in my checking or savings account at my normal bank I'd spend it. I was really excited when the mortgage specialist gave me the total amount. So I guess all that's left to do now is sign all the paperwork tomorrow morning!
